Permanent tooth - what to do?
Any serious fall of a child is a cause of stress for both the child and the parent.
To help your daughter or son, however, it is worth remaining calm and quickly assessing the extent of damage.
After seeing the child check where the tooth is located. If the child feels it in the mouth, with clean hands we put the tooth in the alveolus or eventually ask the child to store it in the saliva in the mouth of the mouth.
If the tooth has fallen out of your mouth, it's worth your while to find him. Then we rinse the tooth with clean and cool water and put it in the alveolus or in the mouth so that the tooth is in the saliva.
Perhaps the child will protest against such a solution or is too scared to place the tooth, then it is worth putting the tooth in milk as a last resort in boiled water. You can also store it in a special one liquid created for this purpose (available at the pharmacy).
Quick to the dentist
A broken tooth should prompt the child's parents to an immediate visit to the dentist. It's best to call several places and ask for immediate admission. Let us inform you about the situation, because the waiting time for the treatment is to the disadvantage. The sooner a child goes to a specialist, the better, the greater the chance for successful replantation. Tooth cells outside the alveolus die quite quickly, this process can be slowed down by ensuring that the tooth is inserted into the alveolus. Reaction time is very important (as well as proper management after injury) because it increases the chance that the tooth cells will be alive and tissue regeneration will be possible.
Experts inform that for the treatment to be effective, the tooth must not be outside the socket for more than 2 hours (at this time he should be in a physiological environment). The best chance for replantation is when the tooth was stored immediately after falling out in the alveolus. The tooth must not be allowed to dry out, because it reduces the chance of placing the tooth in the alveolus effectively.
If the tooth has been out of the socket in a dry environment for more than 2 hours, delayed replantation may be performed. Each time the procedure involves putting the tooth "in place" and starting it so that it can be enough to "grow" the tooth. The patient should remain under the care of a dentist.
The price of the procedure, depending on the surgery, ranges from 200 to 1000 zlotys.
